Here are just a few ways you may benefit from this juice cleanse:

  • Remove built-up toxins and rehydrate the skin
  • Increase energy levels and gain mental clarity
  • Reduce inflammation and autoimmune symptoms

➡️Pre Cleanse

Set the stage for success.

Prepare your body for your juice cleanse. Jumping into a liquid diet cleanse or healthy detox diet from an unhealthy diet like the SAD diet (Standard American Diet) can lead to unwanted detox side effects. However, these side effects can be minimized by preparing the body beforehand.

One simple way to do this is by removing processed foods from your diet and incorporating more raw vegetables and fruits. Additionally, increasing your water intake is essential to detoxing the body and preparing it for a successful cleanse.

By taking these steps before starting a liquid diet cleanse or healthy detox diet, you can help minimize any negative side effects and make the most out of your cleansing journey. Remember, a healthy body starts with healthy habits!

Here is a simple 3 day pre-cleanse plan for a meat eater:

  • Every day drink more water - add lots of lemon to begin flushing out toxins.
  • 3 days before cleanse: stop eating meat and fish
  • 2 days before cleanse: stop eating dairy
  • 1 day before cleanse: eat only raw fruits and veggies

Generally speaking: Stop eating processed foods and animal proteins. Eat more raw fruits and vegetables. Drink more water.

➡️During the cleanse

Consistency is key.

Drink 1 juice every 2 to 3 hours. Between every juice, drink one glass of water. Rinse and repeat.

Don’t skip juice. It will create a drop in your blood sugar leaving you hungry and with a headache.

Exercise if you’re feeling the vibe. Some may be up to it, others may not. It is most important that you listen to your body - but if you can break a sweat, do it! Many of the body’s toxins are removed via sweat.

Dry brush your body to maximize the cleansing effect. Not only does it feel great, but it will facilitate a deeper cleanse by removing dead skin cells, opening your pores and allowing your body to purge more efficiently when sweating.

Make time to relax. Use meditation, music, and/or herbs to help you chill out. Let your mind wander away for a bit. Mentally check in with your body when it comes back to you.

➡️Snack ideas

When you're on a cleanse, it's important to resist the urge to snack on anything that might disrupt your progress.

If you do feel hungry, a tall glass of lemon water can do wonders for curbing the thought of food. Remember, the whole idea of a cleanse is to stop digestive energy and transfer it to whole body healing energy. Eating food can prevent this process from happening effectively.

However, if you find yourself needing a snack, try snacking on a few almonds or any other nuts and seeds. Eating slowly and stopping as soon as you feel comfortable is key. After snacking, make sure to drink a glass of lemon water to help you feel full and refreshed.

Some additional snack ideas that can work well on a cleanse include an avocado with sea salt, a banana, or some low sodium vegetable broth.

➡️Breaking the cleanse

Easy does it.

Ease back into solid, unprocessed foods. Start with smoothies and juicy fruits. It is most important to listen to how your body responds. During this time you have an opportunity to identify food sensitivities that you may have. If you are trying to identify a food allergy, systematically add that food back into your diet.

Here is a simple 3 day post cleanse plan for a meat eater:

  • Continue drinking more water.
  • 1  day post cleanse: add smoothies and juicy fruits
  • 2 days post cleanse: add dairy
  • 3 days post cleanse: add meat

Generally speaking: gradually begin adding back in solid foods and animal products. Continue to avoid processed foods.
